One of the great things about the Greater Autism Community is that if there’s a skill or service you need, you can almost certainly find someone with a connection to autism that provides it. This was especially important when I was in the market for a freelance editor.
Full Spectrum Mama and I were chatting via email, trying to support each other and be a compassionate ear for each other’s challenges. Along the way, I found out she was a freelance editor. She found out that I was working on projects I intended to self-publish. We decided to give each other a try and the result was First Steps: Understanding Autism.
Now, she’s posted a review:
I edited this book, and I’m proud, but I already got paid — so I’m just purely wanting to share a fantastic introductory book for those of you who’d like to learn some basics around autism – or who have people you’d like to enlighten…
Thank you for your friendship, your wonderful work, and your supportive review!
